I want to be "Y:The Last Man"

No, being the last man on earth would suck as I've come to learn after reading Brian K. Vaughan's comic book series. The ups and downs of being hunted down as a leverage against waring countries, trying to find the woman you love when in reality she was next to you the whole time, and the entire drama that filled the series. That would be a terrible life and a terrible world to live in. (or maybe it wouldn't be...hmm...)

What I meant was that I want to write something as truly amazing as Vaughan's work. Throughout the series (or should I call it a novel), there is a huge amount of political commentary, and by using this truly tragic story of gendercide, we see how ridiculous our world is. It's unfortunate that mankind creates the very entity of war, but it's equally disconcerting when humankind can do no better because of the hatred that festers within us all. The entire series is just a great piece of fiction that creates a fantastic world, but also provides the necessary socio-political commentary that Americans seem to forget to use with their freedom of speech.

If I could be the next BKV, Neil Gaiman, Stan Lee, or anyone of the greats I think I would live a great life. And it's not even about the money or the fame (although I do just want to get published), but if I could get my work out there and change the way the world looks at war, hunger, peace, love, sickness, death, or even life I think I did my job on this planet.
