About a week ago, I had a pretty good day. Job prospects were coming in, and things were starting to look up for the upcoming year.
Well, I'm pleased to say that I am finally employed [pending no sudden changes in the UC Davis economical landscape]. The Darin called and said that I got the job as a "Out Front Employee" at the Coffee House. I have about 4 days of training and then I'll be pushing out bagels, pizzas, burittos, and pho like no buddies business.
And the money helps.
Speaking of money, I got a letter from Best Buy today telling me that they made a mistake when they charged the tax on our TV Tuner. For those of you that have cable, satellite, or you know, are evolved television viewers who have no idea what this is, it's one of those "new" ones that came out that convert analog signals to digital for the new age of television performance. Basically, you need a box to convert a free, off the air signal now and so my dad finally made the purchase, but Best Buy made a mistake on all their cash registers in California and rewarded me with a nice little check to say, "I'm sorry."
Oh yeah...$3.50 straight in my pocket ^__~.
