Wondercon 2011: Special Guests Announced

Wondercon has updated their website with a bit more information for next year's bay area comic convention. If I haven't said it already, Wondercon is probably my favorite convention because it's like a mini Comic-Con, which means you get all the great comic guests that San Diego can pull in, but none of the crazy Twilight fans that prevent comic fans from actually buying tickets.

Though, it looks like Wondercon 2011 will be the biggest Wondercon to date. I don't mean in terms of attendance (although the show is growing almost exponentially), what I mean is that the Special Guests announced for the show are already pretty great with many more to come. A couple noteworthy ones include Paul Levitz (former DC Comics President) and Joe Quesada (current Marvel Editor-in-Chief) along with fan favorite Kevin Smith (director of Chasing Amy, Zack and Miri Make a Porno) who is probably there to promote his next flick, Red State. And finally, a person I am very excited to meet and talk to is Terry Moore, creator of Strangers in Paradise, and a huge inspiration for my writing.

And these are only the special guests that will have panels and what not, but other big guests have yet to be revealed plus there is always artist alley and the booths that will be exhibiting. Needless to say, I am extremely excited for Wondercon and hopefully I'll see some of you there!
